Master Proclaim: the remote app

Control your church presentations from anywhere—even the stage—using the Proclaim remote app. Here’s how it works.

Download & log in

Find the remote app in your favorite app store—for either iOS or Android—and download it to your device. Use your Logos/Proclaim/Faithlife account to access all your presentations.

Take control or follow along

When you start the app, you’ll be able to see all your existing presentations. The remote will indicate if any of them are On Air, but you can view them all from your mobile device.
If you’d like to control a presentation by advancing slides from your mobile device, you can use the “Open” menu. Tap there, then look for the “Control” button. When you tap it, a notification will appear in the desktop software that you have taken control.

4 display options to choose from

In addition to the vertical “Order of Service,” which looks identical to the desktop software, there are four different ways to view your slides in the Proclaim remote app.

  • Filmstrip—Farthest to the left and most popular, the filmstrip view displays the current slide as it will appear on the screens, and a horizontal timeline across the bottom of the display.
  • Notes—Switch to the notes view to access a split screen in which the current slide appears on the left and your private notes display on the right. This view is made for preachers who like to advance their own slides without switching back and forth to their notes in another app.
  • Full screen—Just what it sounds like, a full screen display of the current slide. Swipe to advance your slides, or tap to reveal a menu and access things like quick screens, the “Order of Service” menu, and other display options.
  • Text only—Similar to the confidence-monitor output from the desktop software, text-only mode simplifies things by removing the background and displaying only the slide content. Navigation in text-only display works just like full screen—swipe to advance or tap to access the menu.

Where the remote app really shines is during both the announcements and the sermon. While the Proclaim remote could theoretically replace one AV volunteer, we don’t expect most people to use it that way. There is a slight hesitation in the slide advance as the command transmits from the remote to the desktop software. But during announcements and the message, it’s inconsequential.
Using the remote app, you can advance the announcement and message slides from your device, and access your notes on each one without switching apps.
Take control of your presentation today using the Proclaim remote app.

Born in WV, Ray escaped to North Carolina at a young age. He came to Logos after an 8 year stint at a faith-based nonprofit in New York. When he is not assembling sequences of words, he’s probably running, surfing or shooting skeet, but you should probably go look for him. He has a terrible sense of direction and is probably lost.
