4 Ways to Keep Your Christmas Stage Design Under Budget

Believe it or not, it’s almost time to start decorating your church stage for Christmas. Use these four unexpected materials to keep your seasonal stage design under budget this year:
1. Cotton batting: The woolly blanket on most cheap hotel beds is made of cotton batting. It’s sold in craft stores to be used as a quilt liner. Spread out some boxes and throw down a few sheets of cotton batting, and you’ll have a stage full of playfully drifting snow. Pair it with some polyester stuffing for a little extra fluffiness.
2. Coroplast: Used most often in real-estate yard signs, these corrugated plastic sheets can be cut and painted to suit your needs. They’re also light and more durable than foamboard. Cut and paint traditional Christmas shapes like snowflakes and ornaments, or use coroplast to construct a landscape that Dr. Seuss would love.
3. LED candles: Nothing sets the mood like candles. Use the battery-powered LED votives or tealights to spread Christmas cheer while keeping your insurance liability low.
4. Snow machines: It might be less expensive than you think to make it snow inside your auditorium. You can often rent them for a weekend. Be sure to test ahead of time—many are temperamental and loud. If you’re brave enough, they can create a nice seasonal atmosphere.
Of course, you’ll find several Christmas themes in Proclaim. Subscribe to Graceway Media, and you’ll get instant, in-Proclaim access to Christmas art by the thousands, ensuring that you’ll find art to match your stage design perfectly.

When he is not assembling sequences of words, he’s probably running, surfing or shooting skeet, but you should probably go look for him. He has a terrible sense of direction and is probably lost.
