Tech Tuesday: Church Announcements with Digital Signage

You can read the full tutorial here, but the gist is that you can send Proclaim slides into what’s called a sign feed. You can access the feed in Proclaim, customize the slides however you’d like, and set them to loop on any connected monitor in your church building. It’s all linked via WiFi, so you can control the feed on any monitor right from your computer—even monitors that aren’t in your church building.

• Announcements stay relevant — Set the beginning and end date of any announcement, and it will retire so you don’t promote a past event.

• Announcements get seen — Send specific slides to specific monitors. For example, promote a youth retreat where the youth meet, or announce an event for young parents in the nursery.

• Announcements are easy to share — Because you’re already building announcement slides in Proclaim, it’s easy to distribute them anywhere. It takes just a few clicks.

Digital Signage isn’t just for announcements. You can set any monitor to automatically switch to the main service presentation when you go On Air. You can also sprinkle Bible verse art into any signage collection.
